"Anytime I have to take my car for service I am afraid of being "taken" as we are generally at the mercy of the mechanic.

My 2004 Honda Civic (201,000) began to overheat so I had the thermostat changed at "tire" place, but the car still randomly overheated. I finally gave in and went to Duncan Honda fully expecting to be "sold" a ton of services. Imagine my surprise and delight to get a bill for 50.00 and told that the "tire" place failed to bleed the lines after installing the thermostat!!!
